대학에서 순수미술을 전공 후

전공과 유관하다면 유관한 기업에 다니고

육아를 위해 붓을 내려놓으니

창작경력이 단절되었다

너무 늦은 것은 아닐지 주저하기 보다

그저 시작하기로 했다

타이틀이 하나도 없다는 건 잃을 것이 하나도

없다는 걸 의미한다

새롭게 시작한다는 것은 그렇기 때문에

희망적이다

한 발짝만 앞으로 움직여도 전진이다

After majoring in fine arts at university, I began my career in a field closely tied to my creative background. But when I stepped away from the studio to raise my children, my artistic journey naturally paused.

Rather than wonder if it was too late to return, I simply began again.

Without the weight of titles or expectations, I've found the freedom to rediscover the joy of creating.

Starting over feels like an opportunity, not a setback—each small step forward is a step toward something new.

칠해지고 덧입혀지고 지우는 일련의 작업이

기억의 재구성이고 잊혀져버린 희미해진

추억과 소중했던 혹은 잊고 싶었던 시간들조차 결국

내가 지나 온 시간들이고

지금의 나를 있게 한 겹겹의 진실들이다

축적, 저장, 성장이다

내 작품에는 사각의 형태가 많이 보인다

우리가 살고 있는 주변 환경은 거의 대부분 사각형의

조합으로 이루어져 있다

벽 바닥 창문 신용카드 종이 버스 핸드폰 등

일부러 동그라미를 만들어 내지 않는 한

대부분이 사각이다

내 삶의 많은 사각을 나만의 방식으로

표현해보고 싶었다

살풋 보이는 이중적 구조는 보이는 이미지 너머에

보이지 않지만 분명히 존재하는

미지로의 접근이자 은유이다

잊고 있던 기억을 되살리고 상상력을 자극하며

지극히 개인적인 이야기이지만 보편적인 공감도

찾을 수 있다면 좋겠다

​The series of actions - painting, layering, and erasing - is a reconstruction of memory.
Even faded, forgotten memories

-whether they were precious or ones I longed to forget -are still moments I’ve lived through, layered truths that have shaped who I am today.
It is a process of accumulation, preservation, and growth.

Rectangular forms often appear in my work. 
The environment we live in is mostly composed of rectangles - walls, floors, windows, credit cards, paper, buses, cell phones, etc.

Unless we deliberately try to create circles, most things around us are a combination of rectangular.

I wanted to express the many 'rectangles' in my life in my own way.
The faintly visible dual structures represent an approach to the unknown,
a metaphor for what lies beyond the visible image - unseen, yet certainly existing.
They revive forgotten memories, stir the imagination, and, though deeply personal, I hope they may resonate with others as well.
